Jonas and Words

Jonas is constantly saying new words. Some cute ones are "bobot" for robot and "lilllil" for Lilly. He is putting more and more sentences together and figuring things out. When he sees something in a book that we have in the house he will go and find that thing to show us. If there is more than one item throughout the book, he will turn back to find the pictures. It's so fun watching him put things together.

Kite Flying

Friday night, we took the kids to the playground to fly a kite. It was super windy and cold. The kids loved, it though. Sara is pretty good at getting the kite up in the air now. This was Jonas first time and he held his own. Jonas kept running around yelling excitedly about the kite - so cute :)

Little Chefs

Sara and Jonas love helping in the kitchen. Almost anytime I'm in there making something they grab chairs to drag over to the counter to help. It's fun and challenging all at the same time. They now have aprons they wear to help keep them clean and feel more official :)

Easter

We have a few traditions now for Easter. The first is dying easter eggs. Sara loves it and has become quite the pro. Jonas really enjoyed his first time. Jon and attempted to keep everyone happy and the mess to a minimum. We thought doing tattoo eggs would be fun - who knew the tattoos were almost impossible to adhere to the eggs. Sara was not well prepared for the fact that we eat the eggs - she wanted to keep them forever :) There were some tears involved in parting, but in the end we ate them all. Secondly, we always go to church to celebrate Jesus' resurrection. Then we do an Easter egg hunt at home, which the kids loved! Then we head to Jon's family's house for Easter dinner and another egg hunt. This year, Sara is really into making up her own songs. She was singing in the car about how Jesus died on the cross on Good Friday, which really wasn't so good because it is really Sad Friday since Jesus died, but he did it because he loved us and then he rose from the dead for Easter. It was super cute how she put it all together and had a very good point :)
