Florida

As a family, we went to Estero, FL (the Ft. Meyers area). We had such a great vacation. It was so relaxing, the weather was perfect, the place we stayed was amazing, and we had lots of time to just be together. There were tons of fun things to do there. We went to three different beaches - Barefoot Beach, Sanibel Island, and Carl Johnson State Park. They were all great. Sea shells were everywhere. Sara loved building sand castles, making holes, playing in the gulf and being in the sun. She did not appreciate the sand in her food :) Jonas did great. He was really afraid of the waves, though, so he didn't go into the gulf much. He mostly stayed under his sun tent and played. The condo we stayed in was right across from the pool. Sara is getting pretty good at swimming. Both Sara and Jonas loved the pool. Jonas really liked splashing himself :) We also went to the Naples Zoo. There is a great park in the area, Lakes Park where we rented a Surrey bike. We tried to find alligators, but no luck. However, the day after we were at Sanibel Island someone was bitten by a shark - glad we missed that :) Anyway, there are lots of great memories and we hope to go back :)

Little Designer

Sara loves making clothes for her little dolls. She takes Kleenex, paper, and stickers and makes dresses and other things for them. It's really cute. She also likes using her own unique style in dressing herself. Who knows, maybe she has a future in it :)

First Picnic of 2009

Yesterday, we decided to have a picnic in the park. Jon met us there for lunch. We all loved it. Sara played on the play set, Jonas went on a swing, we walked around a bit and ate lunch in the sun. Spring fever is definitely here.

Swinging

Yesterday, was beautiful!! Jonas went in the swing for the first time and loved it. He was laughing and smiling and shaking his legs.

Jonas, 10 months old

On March 12, Jonas turned 10 months old. Some of his favorite things now are balloons and balls. He says, "ba" when looking at balls and balloons. He sometimes says, "mama" and "dada". He continues to roll. He also gets in a crawling position and rocks back and forth. He has continued to great at sleeping at night - yeah!! He loves to smile. When he and Sara are in the car together, Sara makes faces and laughs and he laughs back. He seems to have a big interest in everything. He eats a ton! We can't seem to feed him enough. 10 months of great fun!

Big Girl Bed

About a month ago, Sara got a new bed. Her old one broke (from parents sitting on it - not a good idea), and it was getting a bit tight. She loves the new big bed. It has space for clothes underneath. It is pretty high, but she hasn't fallen out yet, except for the time she was practicing "stop, drop, and roll" on her bed - also not a good idea. oh, the things we learn around here. We found Hello Kitty sheets, which is currently her favorite character. She has really enjoyed it.

Angels

Sara decided to make halos out of her beads and pipe cleaners. She and Jonas wore their wings and halos. She is really creative and imaginative! So fun :)
