Atlanta

On our way back from FL, we stayed in Atlanta for two nights. It was cold there, so we went to a museum and saw Atlanta in the car :) Jon and Sara did venture to the Atlanta Underground and discovered a candy shop, which was enjoyed by all.

Got the Play Structures Figured Out

Jonas has a lot of confidence on play structures now. He loves them. He is doing great at climbing, going down slides, just hanging out. It's fun watching him enjoy them so much.

Adorable Wishes

Sara loves making wishes in fountains. We were at an outdoor mall in Fl that had several fountains. She wanted to make some wishes even with the rain coming down (it was an open air mall). It was so adorable because when she makes the wish, she whispers her wish to the coin before throwing it in.

Manitees

There is a park in the Ft. Meyers area called Manitee Park. In the "cold" winter months, the manitees come into the water near a power plant because it is warm. We were able to see several manitees swimming near us. The kids thought it was pretty neat. We also saw some tiny butterfly eggs.

Paddle Boat Ride

We went to a really nice park in the area. They had a couple of large playgrounds for the kids, and we went for a paddle boat ride in the large pond. We had our thoughts confirmed by a sign after the ride - be ware of alligators. We never saw any - thank God. We did get stuck one time, which was a bit of an adventure. Sara enjoyed helping paddle boat and Jonas got a good nap in.

Sea Shells

We stayed for over a week in Ft. Meyers, FL. We had a really relaxing time as a family. The kids loved exploring the area and just being together. We braved the pool one day - it was 75. We went to the beach and collected shells and played in the sand one day too. We had lots of picnics too! It was really needed :)

Christmas 09

We had such a wonderful Christmas! We are blessed with so many family members in the area. Sara was super excited about Christmas. She helped with all the decorating, wrapping presents, and in general was just super excited. Jonas really got into opening presents this year. We did lots of celebrating and left the day after Christmas for Florida.
