Sharing a Room

In preparation for the twins coming, we have moved Sara and Jonas into the same room. They love it! They also stay awake longer, but they are both happy to have a roommate. We'll see how it goes when we move all of Jonas' toys in there :) We still have to figure out what we are going to do about nap time/ quiet time arrangements. I'm sure it will all come together.

First Birthday Party Alone

Today, Sara went to her first friend birthday party without parents. She had a wonderful time. She has been playing birthday party all day and talking about her birthday non stop :) It makes me realize how much she is growing up. She was able to dress up too and that made it even more fun!

Snow Girl

We got a good amount of snow today, and we could actually pack it!!! So, the whole family spent the morning in the backyard making our snow girl. Sara decided to name her Sara. She is right outside the kids' windows, so they can look out and see her. We had a great time.

Jonas - Praying

Jonas began praying last week. It's really sweet. For a few years now, at night we pray with Sara. We ask God to bless various people in our lives, or people we know could use some blessing. Jonas recently began joining in. He puts his hands together, squeezes his eyes closed and says, "Bless.... and then lists some people. So sweet!!

Playing Together

Jonas and Sara spend lots of time playing together now. He loves participating in whatever she is doing. The other day they played they were each in their own tents. The next day they dressed up and Jonas was "super baby". Once in a while, Sara prefers some alone time, so she goes to her room and closes her door. Jonas typically goes and knocks on her door, and she will tell him she just wants to play alone for a while, so he goes to his room and closes his door : ) It's pretty cute. Who knows what they will do when they have to share a room.....

Daddy/Daughter Dance 2010

Jon and Sara went to their 3rd Daddy Daughter Dance and had a great time. First, they had dinner at McDonald's. Then went to the dance with Sara's friends Elle and Ava. Sara really enjoys this special time with daddy. She loves getting all dressed up. She was counting down for the whole week before the dance. She said that she wants to go with Jon every year until she is 15 :)

Jonas - First Haircut

Jonas received his first official haircut on Feb. 8. He sat really still for daddy and enjoyed looking in the mirror.
