More Birthday Pics

Sara 5 years old

Sara turned 5 on August 18!! We had her first friend birthday party the Saturday before her birthday. She had 6 friends there, Anna Grace, Elle, Chloe, Ava, Jayden, and Isabella. Strawberry Shortcake was the theme. Sara loved having the party and celebrating with her friends. There was face painting, scavenger hunt for the missing Strawberry Shortcake, pinata, and of course cake and ice cream. Our friend Amanda made an amazing cake for Sara. We had lots of family and friends helping us, which made the party possible. The grandparents took care of Callie and Tobin. Jonas joined in the celebration. It has been a wonderful 5 years. It's hard to believe our little girl is at 5 already. She is so fun and full of life. She brings lots of joy to our lives.

Eddie and Kristina Knight :)

On July 31, Eddie and Kristina tied the know. It was such a fun wedding! Sara, Jonas and I were all in the wedding and had a blast. Jon ushered and did a great job :) The best part is that I know have an amazing sister and the kids love her. We're so excited for them. It was a busy and fun filled day. The kids began to melt by the end. Jon's parents were kind enough to bring the kids home with me and put them to bed. On the way home, Sara, Callie and Tobin were crying as loud as they could (thank goodness we live near the reception site:). Jonas quietly says to me, "Mom, did you have fun dancing?" I couldn't help but laugh at the contrast of feelings at that moment.

Voices

Callie and Tobin are now almost 12 weeks old!! It is hard to believe. They are becoming more animated and engaging. They both have their own voices, sweet smiles, and laughs. Tobin has a deeper laugh and Callie has a higher pitched gentle laugh. They both have sweet dispositions and love just being held and talked to. Callie is becoming less fussy in the evenings which has been a nice break. They both love staring at mobiles and enjoy the play mat. We feel so blessed by these two little ones. (photos by Sara)

New Swing

We got a new swing for our swing set. The kids love it. Jon had to do some serious work to get it up. Great job dad!!

6 to the zoo

We went as a family of 6 to the zoo when Callie and Tobin were 8 weeks old. It went pretty well. Jonas was really able to enjoy the animals this time. The highlights this time around were: 1. the new elephant area and were witnesses to the elephants using the bathroom, 2. the ducks (which we can see in Milan :), 3. the meerkats that were right up by the glass. Jonas still talks about it! :)
