Tt's Birthday

We had Grandma Tricia (TT) and Uncle Eddie over to celebrate TT's birthday. There was a ton of snow, but they made here safely. After about 30 pics we finally got one with TT's eyes open :) Sara and Jonas enjoyed helping decorate the house for the party. Callie and Tobin loved scrunching up wrapping paper.

Sara is Reading!!

Currently, Sara is working on reading. She is doing a great job with several stories. Her preschool sends home a new book each week that we work on. She is really enjoying it and working hard. It is so fun to watch her figure reading out & realize what she can do with it - like how to operate our family camera :) She also has started playing piano a little bit. We started working on one simple song. She is growing up!!

Callie and Tobin 8 Months

They're 8 months!! They survived our first horrible bout with a nasty cold. They're back to sleeping better. Tobin loves clapping & playing peek-a-boo. Callie loves laughing & moving. They both prefer to be free on the floor over being in their exercausers or anything else. Both can roll all over the place and are starting to spin around on their tummies, and push up. Callie can get up on all fours. Watch out world!!

Jonas' Favorite Things to Do

Right now, Jonas is loving play-doh. We made our own the other day. He was eating the flour before we mixed it :) He loves making all sorts of things with play-doh and experimented with what it does when stuck to the windows. Mommy got to enjoy clean up :) It is really fun to watch him grow and explore. He also LOVES to paint with water colors. Dinosaurs, trains and books also top his list. He is really exploring his world and his imaginiation. He now frequently asks, "Can somebody play with me?" Sara is his favorite buddy to play with.

Results

Great news all around! Callie has the cutaneous version of Mastocytosis, which is the best outcome. She will most likely outgrow it by adolescence. Until then, we have to carry an epi-pen at all times and watch for allergic reactions. Stings are the most likely to cause a severe reaction. Tobin is completely fine. The neurologist didn't have any concerns about his developments. Thank you God!! We have all been sick for almost a month now with a wide variety of illnesses. It is great to be on the mend. Both Callie and Tobin broke out in hives 2 days ago, so we're trying to figure out the source of the reaction. I'm thinking it might be peas because they both tried it for the first time. We'll see...

Callie and Tobin 7 months old

Callie now weighs 15 lbs, 4 oz (20%) and is 26" (30%). Tobin is 17lbs, 7 oz (30%), and 27" (45%). They are so fun right now. Both of them love to laugh and smile. They are interested in everything going on around them. They are both starting to eat more baby food. Callie "sings" along when we sing songs. Tobin is starting to do a type of a wave. We are waiting on the results form Callie's biopsy and blood draw. She was such a trooper with those uncomfortable tests. She cried for just a minute and then cheered right back up. After these results, we ill either know that it is just cutaneous (skin) mastocytosis or go in for more tests (including bone marrow biopsy) to see if it is systemic. We're praying it is just skin. We met with the allergist who gave us a prescription for an epi pen. In the event she is allergic to stings or certian types of food she will have a more severe reaction, so we have to be prepared. We are thankful for her overall good health, and hoping for the best. Tobin will be seen by a neurologist this next week. Our pediatrician is concerned that he may have a mild case of hypotonia (floopy baby). It seems like we've had more than our fair share of Dr. appts. lately. I'm glad I have a flexible schedule :)

First Letter

Sara wrote her first letter all by herself. She and her Aunt Georgia are going to be pen pals. It's amazing to see how she's able to write so many letters!! The idea of receiving mail all her own makes her super excited!
